Tonight’s Lotto Draw Has The Biggest Jackpot Since February

Tonight’s Lotto Draw Has The Biggest Jackpot Since February
Updated: Friday 26th July 2019

Tonight’s Lotto draw on Wednesday 2nd May is worth an estimated £14.5 million, the lottery’s biggest jackpot for three months. The top prize has reached this massive eight-figure sum after rolling over for six consecutive draws, giving Lotto lovers a chance to land an incredible windfall.

When Was The Lotto Jackpot Last Won?

The Lotto jackpot was last won on Saturday 7th April when a lucky ticket-holder became a multimillionaire overnight after scooping £9.5 million. They matched the winning numbers 1, 4, 31, 33, 52 and 55 to become the lottery’s seventh jackpot winner of 2018. The winner is still to come forward and claim their prize, so it remains to be seen whether they’ll go public or decide to remain anonymous.

How to Play Lotto

For players who haven’t entered Lotto before, it couldn’t be easier to pick numbers ahead of tonight’s draw to be in with a chance of winning one of the thousands of prizes on offer. Simply choose six numbers between 1 and 59 online or offline to take part in the main Lotto draw, as explained on the How to Play Lotto page.

Players Can Also Enter Lotto Millionaire Raffle and Lotto Hotpicks

Lotto Millionaire Raffle and Lotto Hotpicks are two additional games that players can enter tonight as well as the main Lotto draw.

The Lotto Millionaire Raffle supplementary game provides one £1 million winner in every draw as well as 20 guaranteed prizes of £20,000. Entry to the raffle is included in the price of a Lotto ticket, so players don’t have to pay an added fee to play. A randomly-generated code will be shown on the main ticket, giving ticket-holders the chance to win some incredible prizes even if they don’t win anything in the main Lotto draw.

Players don’t have to enter the main Lotto draw to play Lotto HotPicks, which is a separate draw with a top prize of £350,000, costing just £1 per game. Players can play the Pick 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 game and, for example, odds of landing a Pick 1 prize worth £6 in tonight’s draw are 1 in 10. More information can be found on the Lotto HotPicks page.

What Are The Odds of Winning Tonight?

Lotto offers some of the best odds of winning around, with the odds of landing a prize in tonight’s main Lotto draw 1 in 9.3. The odds of landing the jackpot may be 1 in 45,057,474, but with seven Lotto jackpot winners already this year, they have shown it can be done, and prizes start from matching just two main numbers. As for Lotto Millionaire Raffle, the odds depend entirely on how many tickets are bought but on a typical Wednesday draw they are estimated to be around 1 in 338,000.

Still Time to Play

Players can still enter tonight’s Lotto draw by visiting an authorised ticket retailer to pick their numbers online, or by joining a syndicate online. Once numbers have been picked, sit back, relax, and remember to visit our results page later to check the winning numbers shortly after the draw has taken place. Best of luck!
