Lotto Must Be Won Draw to Take Place on Saturday

On Saturday, 1st of February, Lotto will hold its first 'Must Be Won' draw of the year - meaning that £15 million is guaranteed to be paid out!
This will either go to one single ticket winner or the jackpot prize will ‘rolldown’ to all other winners. So, if you enter into this draw, your prize could be boosted dramatically!
They work the same as a regular Lotto draw. Match all six numbers, and you win the top prize. The only difference is that the top prize has to be given away on that draw. That means no rollovers - it's really one that you don’t want to miss out on!
History of Must Be Won Draws
The National Lottery first set up the ‘Must Be Won’ draws in 2018, with the first draw taking place on 22nd December 2018. In that instance, two winners won the top prize - each getting a total payout of £7,500,000.
These draws occur when the jackpot hasn’t been won for five consecutive games. The sixth draw becomes a Must Be Won event, creating excitement and offering players guaranteed payouts. Since their introduction, there have been 88 such draws, delivering life-changing prizes to countless winners.
There are also extra special pre-planned ‘Must Be Won’ draws that the National Lottery set up in order to offer its players the chance to win big prizes and often to help provide funding for good causes.
For instance, on 3rd August, the National Lottery’s operator set up a special version of these draws to help provide vital funding for the Team GB and Paralympics GB athletes. This would allow them to train full time, and have access to the best coaches and medical support.
It highlights the positive impact that Lotto players can have when they play the lottery. It said that special draws can lead to as much as a 53% boost in sales.
How Can You Get Involved?
You can enter into the next ‘Must be Won’ draw by purchasing a ticket just like you would for any other draw!
The amount you will win will depend on how many numbers you match. If the top prize ‘rolls over’ you will get a percentage of the overall jackpot. Look at our ‘Must Be Won’ page which explains this in more detail.
You could of course be the lucky player who walks away with the full £15 million - try your luck by entering into Saturday's draw!
