EuroMillions Reaches its Cap of £208 Million

EuroMillions Reaches its Cap of £208 Million
Updated: Tuesday 10th June 2025

Could a UK player become the country's biggest ever winner in the next EuroMillions draw? It’s certainly on the cards as the jackpot has reached a new record of £208 million - its jackpot cap! It will now stay at this amount until it is won by a lucky player in Europe or for a maximum of four draws.

EuroMillions Jackpot Record

The last time EuroMillions reached its record jackpot amount was only back in March -  with such a short turnaround to the next record, it looks like EuroMillions in 2025 is shaping up to be quite the year!

In that draw the UK just missed out, as the top prize went to a player from Austria. It’s anyone's game now as the jackpot has been rolling over for the last 17 draws, finally settling on this astounding amount.

There was set to be a Superdraw on the 6th June. However, since the jackpot is now higher than what the Superdraw would've boosted it to - this will have to be delayed. These special draws take place only a few times a year. We don’t know when the next one will occur, but we’ll be sure to report it as soon as it’s announced.

What Happened in the Last EuroMillions Draw?

The latest EuroMillions draw, on Tuesday 3rd June, may have had no top prize winners - but it was still an exciting occasion for many players across Europe. There were over 3 million players who picked up prizes on the night. A total of 1,078,949 UK winners also managed to secure £4,671,306 between them.

The winning numbers came up as 12, 15, 38, 47, 48 and two Lucky Stars of 5 and 7.

The total amount for the next draw on Friday 6th June will be around £208 million, or €250 million - if it is won by a country outside the UK. The other participating European countries are: Ireland, Spain, France, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal and Switzerland.

When Will the Jackpot be Won?

The jackpot could well be won in the next draw on Friday, but if it does not then the jackpot will stay at this current amount for the following draw on Tuesday. In fact, it will stay at that amount for the next four draws - unless it is won - and any funds that would be added to the jackpot will go into the second highest prize category (Match five numbers and one Lucky Star).

The fifth draw will then become a ‘Must Be Won’ draw where the top prize is going to be won no matter what! The most obvious way this happens is if someone matched five numbers and two Lucky Stars.

However, if this does not occur then the jackpot will be paid out to all the winners of the second-tier prize category. In the last draw, for example, there were six winners in that category, so they would hypothetically all get around 34 million each!

Only time will tell what will happen on Friday and the following few draws. Make sure to check our winning numbers page to see the results as soon as they come out. In the meantime, you can purchase tickets online for the next draw.
