£9.2 Million Lotto Jackpot Shared On Bank Holiday Weekend

£9.2 Million Lotto Jackpot Shared On Bank Holiday Weekend

It turned into a Bank Holiday weekend to remember for two lucky Lotto players who shared a £9.2 million jackpot on Saturday night to take home £4.6 million each. It was the lottery’s second jackpot win within a matter of weeks, and the winners must now come forward to claim their seven-figure windfalls.

Two Match Six Winners

The winning Lotto numbers on Saturday 26th May were 9, 14, 19, 29, 39 and 40, plus Bonus Ball 3, and the shared jackpot stole the show after two tickets matched all six main numbers. The draw was a triple rollover after a £21 million jackpot was only recently claimed on Saturday 12th May.

Elsewhere, there were seven Match 5 plus Bonus winners of over £10,000 each, and a millionaire was created in the Millionaire Raffle after the winning code ROSE 6708 8878 was drawn. Visit our Results page for a full prize breakdown from the draw.

£21 Million Lotto Jackpot Ticket Left In Handbag

It has emerged a Slough-based couple had a winning Lotto ticket worth £21 million in their handbag for a week before realising they were in fact the jackpot winners. Donna Stickley remembered she had a lottery ticket in her bag from the previous week when she was on a shopping trip and, after calling 58-year-old husband David, they eventually realised they had stumbled upon an eight-figure fortune in the draw on Saturday 12th May.

They initially misread the winning amount for £2 million, but they were soon celebrating after they found that their winning numbers - 1, 15, 21, 30, 35 and 44 - had in fact landed them £21 million.

The duo, who only got married in March, attended a press conference in Windsor to publicise their win. David said: “We want normality. We are normal people. We do not want dramatic change. We are just going to try and comprehend what has happened.”

The aircraft refueller at Babcock International went on to say: “Some of it (the money) will probably go on a nice honeymoon. It will be a bit more spectacular than it would have been.”
