£15 Million Lotto Winner From November Finally Claims Prize
The winner of a £15 million Lotto jackpot from November has finally staked their claim for the money, bringing an end to a two-month mystery surrounding the prize.
The special Must Be Won draw on 15th November had a single jackpot winner, and it was revealed shortly afterwards that the lucky player had purchased their ticket online.
As it was a digital purchase, it meant the winner would have automatically received an email notification to check their account, where they would have been given instructions over how to proceed. However, the turn of the year came and went without the winner coming forward.
The deadline for claiming was 14th May (180 days after the draw), so there was still lots of time left, and the National Lottery has now received a claim. The next step is a process of validation before the prize can be paid out.
After this time, the winner will have to decide whether to go public or not. If they wish to stay anonymous, no more information will be disclosed, even about whether the ticket belongs to an individual or a syndicate.
Andy Carter, the Senior Winners’ Advisor for National Lottery operator Allwyn, said: “What a way to kick off 2026 with a £15 million windfall for one lucky Lotto player. We will now look to support the ticket holder through the process and help them to start to enjoy their life-changing win.”
Must Be Won Draw on Wednesday
While the November winner can now look forward to an exciting future, the next Lotto draw on Wednesday 14th January promises to give away more great prizes.
After five consecutive rollovers, the jackpot now stands at £13.1 million and must be won. If there are no tickets that match all the numbers, the jackpot money will roll down and get split between all other prize winners. While the odds of winning don’t change, Must Be Won draws do boost your chances of landing a larger payout than normal.
You can take part online or by purchasing tickets from authorised retailers. Don’t forget to check the results after the draw has taken place, then come forward within 180 days if you are a winner.
