Loteri Cymru, the Wales Lottery, is a society lottery which has been raising money for good causes across Wales since the first draw took place in April 2017. The lottery was launched with the aim of donating £5 million in grants inside five years, with weekly draws offering jackpots of £25,000.
How to Play Loto
Lottery betting is an alternative to buying tickets from a retailer in the traditional manner. The odds are the same and you can win all the same great prizes, the only difference is that you’re placing a wager on which numbers will be drawn.

How to Play Loto+
As well as the weekly loto draws, loto+ raffle draws take place on the final Friday of every month. Everyone who plays loto is automatically entered into the next loto+ draw at no extra charge, receiving a randomly-generated number code. On the night of the loto+ draw, ten codes are randomly selected and the players with matching tickets all receive £1,000.

As a society lottery, the Wales Lottery is designed to run on a not-for-profit basis, and was established to help local communities throughout Wales. An independent charity, Hanfod Cymru, was set up to take responsibility for distributing the funds raised by the lottery, and will concentrate on three key areas initially - education, general social needs, and the arts and creativity.
The Small Grants programme awards grants of up to £10,000 for projects in Wales, while bigger grants of £75,000 will be made available at a later date to benefit larger ventures. Find out more about the good causes supported by the Wales Lottery, and how the draws work, at www.waleslottery.co.uk.
