As a society lottery, the Wales Lottery was designed to run on a not-for-profit basis, and was established to help local communities throughout Wales. An independent charity, Hanfod Cymru, was set up to take responsibility for distributing the funds raised by the lottery, and concentrated on three key areas - education, general social needs, and the arts and creativity.
The Small Grants programme awarded grants of up to £10,000 for projects in Wales. Find out more about the good causes supported by the Wales Lottery at www.waleslottery.co.uk.
