How To Play Set For Life

To play Set For Life, you are required to pick five numbers from 1 to 47 and one Life Ball from 1 to 10. Draws are held on Monday and Thursday evenings and you can play online or through an authorised retailer for your chance to win.

It costs £1.50 per line to play Set For Life. You must make sure you enter before ticket sales close on the night of a draw, and follow the steps below:

The process is the same whether you play online or go to one of the National Lottery's authorised retailers. You can either choose your own numbers or opt for a Lucky Dip to have a random selection generated for you. The Life Ball is drawn from a different pool so it is possible for the same number to be drawn as a main number and the Life Ball on the same day.

You can enter the same numbers into multiple consecutive draws, up to a maximum of four weeks in advance. Once the draw has taken place, you can see the winning numbers on the Set For Life Results page.

How to Win Prizes

To win a prize, you must match at least two of the winning numbers drawn. The prizes are fixed amounts, starting at £5 and increasing in value as you match more numbers. If you match all five main numbers plus the Life Ball, you win £10,000 a month for 30 years. Go to the Odds and Prizes page to see exactly what prizes are on offer and the odds of winning each of them.

How to Claim Prizes

If you bought your ticket in-store, you can claim prizes of up to £500 from any authorised retailer. If you played online, prizes up to £500 will be paid directly into your account. To claim larger prizes, you will need to contact the National Lottery to start the claims process. Visit the page on Claiming Prizes for more information. You will not be able to claim the top two prizes as a lump sum.
