The Health Lottery has announced that they will change not only the name of their main lottery draw game but the prize amounts as well. Changes are effective from 15th August 2023.

The new name of the main draw game will be The Big Win and the price of a single entry will still be £1 per line. The odds of winning a prize are 1 in 9.7 while the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 2.1 million. So what are the other changes?

The Free Prize Draw updated its prizes. For every £1 entry into any Wednesday Health Lottery Big Win Draw, players are entered into an additional £100,000 free prize draw which takes place on the same day. Similarly, for every £1 entry into any Saturday Health Lottery Big Win draw, players are also entered into a free additional draw which has a prize of £475,000 (previously £100,000). All players that match five numbers in the second draw will qualify for the set prizes mentioned above, as there are no lower tier prizes for matching any other numbers.

Just as before, winners who match five balls get £25,000 while those who match four balls plus the Bonus Ball can take home £10,000. But the lower prize tiers have been updated. Matching four balls can now bring you £300 (previously £250), three balls and the Bonus Ball offer you £50 (previously £100), for three balls you can get £10 (previously £20) and two balls plus the Bonus Ball bring you £5 (previously £10). 

Two balls or one ball and the Bonus Ball give you a free ticket. Players can choose which draw they wish to enter with that ticket. Online players have the option to enter it up to five weeks in advance. If they go for the Wednesday or Saturday draw, they’ll also be automatically entered into the Wednesday £100,000 Free Prize Draw and the Saturday £475,000 Free Prize Draw.

Whether you still choose to call it Health Lottery or you think The Big Win has a certain ring to it and you’ll get used to that, entering this game can bring you great (even greater for the free prize draws, now) prizes. After every draw, make sure to check your tickets to find out if your numbers brought you a big win as the new name suggests.
