Single Player Wins EuroMillions Jackpot Worth £216 Million

Single Player Wins EuroMillions Jackpot Worth £216 Million
Updated: Wednesday 20th August 2025

One lucky EuroMillions player won a jackpot worth £216 million in the latest draw on Tuesday evening. The UK missed out on the glory as the winning ticket was sold in France, but it was still a special night for many who picked up great prizes.

It’s been a remarkable year for big jackpots in Europe’s premier lottery, and the most recent rollover on Friday propelled the top prize back to its upper limit of €250 million (converted to £216 million based on Tuesday’s exchange rate).

It could have stayed at the jackpot cap for a maximum of four draws, before a Must Be Won draw would have been scheduled for the fifth draw at €250 million. Instead, a French ticket holder matched all the winning numbers - 24, 31, 34, 41, and 43, plus Lucky Stars 6 and 8.

In the UK, 865,917 players landed prizes in the main draw, ranging from £3 to £182,967, while another ticket holder pocketed £1 million after matching the winning Millionaire Maker code of XMPX 55830. Get full draw details, including a prize breakdown, on the EuroMillions Results page for 19th August.

Don’t Forget to Check

Since the jackpot was won in France, the record for the biggest lottery prize ever won in the UK still belongs to the player who claimed £195 million anonymously in July 2022.

Even if you missed out on the jackpot this time, make sure to check any tickets you purchased for the draw. You might have scored a lower win, or you could even be the Millionaire Maker raffle winner! Use the EuroMillions Checker to find out, then come forward within 180 days if you have been lucky.

Jackpot Resets

There have now been two jackpot wins in excess of £200 million in a row (the last win was worth £213 million and was won in Cork, Ireland on 17th June). Will the jackpot reach such dizzying heights in the next cycle?

The jackpot will reset to its starting value of £14 million for the next draw on Friday. You can buy tickets from any authorised retailer or choose your numbers online over on our Tickets page. It might not be £216 million, but would you really turn your nose up at a £14 million prize?
