One ticket won the Lotto jackpot outright last Saturday night, instantly making its owner £16,976,182 richer than they had been before the draw. The Lotto results which brought about this financial transformation on Saturday 9 September were 04, 07, 13, 49, 56 and 58, and the Bonus Ball number was 06.

That Bonus Ball proved very useful for one player who also matched five main numbers to win a second tier prize worth £80,295. More than 1.26 million prizes were won across the lower tiers, and the combined value of all Lotto prizes won on Saturday exceeded £20.47 million.

That figure doesn’t even include the £1 million prize that was landed by the player who matched the winning Lotto Millionaire Raffle code, which was JADE 7846 7490. Last weekend's jackpot win was the largest since Saturday 24 June, when one ticket scooped an even bigger £21.38 million.
