A lucky Lotto player became the biggest single jackpot winner of 2017 on Saturday night as they matched all six main numbers to pocket a phenomenal £21.3 million. On a thrilling night for many ticket holders, there were several other big winners and over 1.3 million prizes were given away altogether.

The Lotto numbers drawn on Saturday 4, 16, 26, 39, 42 and 54, with Bonus Ball 24. There had previously been eight rollovers in a row, dating back to the game on Wednesday 24th May when two participants split a jackpot of £25.5 million. The latest top prize might not have been quite that large, but as there was just one winner they can look forward to receiving an even greater windfall than anyone else has been able to celebrate this year.

As well as the jackpot winner on Saturday, three ticket holders matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to pick up £28,064 each. The other prizes on the main game spanned between a Free Lotto Lucky Dip for matching two main numbers and £1,067 for matching five main numbers.
