The first Lotto jackpot win of 2017 took place on Wednesday 18 January, when two tickets matched all six main numbers. The final value of the jackpot on offer was £12,206,872, so each winning ticket is now worth £6,103,436, and it will be interesting to see if either of the winners choose to go public with their success or opt to remain anonymous.

The Lotto results on Wednesday were 08, 14, 20, 27, 28 and 53, with the number 45 appearing as the Bonus Ball. Whilst the jackpot, which had rolled over in each of the four previous draws, was of course the biggest prize landed in the game, more than 883,000 consolation prizes were also won. The largest of those was found at the second tier, where a single ticket matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to win £49,792.

There were 64 entries that each won £818 by matching five main numbers only, and other prizes ranged from a Lotto Lucky Dip for matching two main numbers to £84 for matching four balls. In addition, one ticket won a Lotto Millionaire Raffle prize of £1 million by matching the code NAVY 8472 6763, and another 20 tickets won £20,000 each in the Lotto Raffle draw. With the quadruple rollover jackpot now having been landed in the midweek Lotto game, the jackpot for the next game this Saturday 21 January has been reset and is expected to be worth around £3.5 million. For players who are interested, the most overdue Lotto numbers as we approach that draw are 57, 15, 06, 23, 56 and 43.

Lottery players also have a massive EuroMillions jackpot of around £70 million to play for this Friday 20 January. The most overdue main numbers to consider playing in that game are 24, 09, 36, 42 and 33, whilst the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 06 and 08.
