EuroMillions Won Outright by French Ticket

EuroMillions Won Outright by French Ticket
Updated: Monday 23rd July 2018

The EuroMillions jackpot on Tuesday 22 August was won outright by a single ticket which had been purchased in France. The numbers drawn in the first EuroMillions game of the week were 03, 10, 12, 17 and 27, along with the Lucky Star numbers 03 and 05, and the lucky French winner who matched all of those numbers scooped €44,105,265, which equates to £40,510,685.

There were more than 1.78 million prizes won in Tuesday’s EuroMillions game, and more than 383,000 of those were landed by players in the UK.  A dozen tickets won £37,653 each in the second tier by matching the five main numbers and one Lucky Star. Four of those tickets had been purchased in the UK, as had one of eight tickets which landed a third tier prize of £13,154 each by matching five main numbers only.

The biggest UK winners were the two who matched one of the Millionaire Maker codes, and those were JTQL12063 and ZTQL24661. That feat earned the winners a cool £1 million each, so players are reminded to check the Millionaire Maker codes on their tickets as well as their numbers for the main game. Our EuroMillions Checker allows players to check both their codes and main game numbers automatically, so please feel free to make use of that at any point.

We congratulate the French lottery player on their EuroMillions success last Tuesday, but he or she isn’t the only person who has landed a lottery jackpot in recent days. Just last night, the Powerball game in the USA delivered an eye-watering jackpot of $758.7 million to the owner of a single ticket which had been purchased in Massachusetts. We don’t know who the winner is, but we are certain that it will take some time for them to come to terms with their colossal achievement, and we wish them the very best for the future.

With the EuroMillions triple rollover jackpot having been landed on Tuesday, the top prize in the next game this Friday 25 August will be worth an estimated £15 million, and there will be two more guaranteed UK winners of £1 million each in the Millionaire Maker game. Choose your numbers today if you fancy your chances, then take a look at the Saturday Lotto game, where the jackpot is expected to be worth around £8.2 million, and good luck!
