EuroMillions Record Jackpot Snapped Up by One Winner

EuroMillions Record Jackpot Snapped Up by One Winner
Updated: Friday 15th October 2021

A single player won the EuroMillions jackpot on Friday 15th October, matching all the numbers to land a prize worth £185 million. The jackpot-winning ticket was sold in France.

The winning EuroMillions numbers were 21, 26, 31, 34 and 49, plus Lucky Stars 2 and 5. The draw produced millions of winners across Europe, with UK players snapping up many of the prizes. Take a look at the EuroMillions Results page to see a full prize breakdown, including the winning Millionaire Maker code.

It remains to be seen whether the jackpot winner is happy for more information to be revealed about their story when they step forward to claim their money, but they can now look forward to life as the biggest EuroMillions’ winner of all time.

The record win follows a string of single winners taking home record EuroMillions jackpots at the cap. This new record of €220 million surpasses the previous record of €210 million won by a single Swiss player in February 2021, which itself beat the previous record of €200 million that was also won by a single French player. The jackpot cap now rises to its new level of €230 million.

How to Claim Prizes

If you won a prize in the latest draw, you need to come forward and claim the money in the next 180 days.

The process for claiming prizes depends on how much you have won and whether you played online or in-store, but it is always straightforward.

If you purchased your ticket from a retailer, you can take it back to a store to claim any amount up to £100. For larger prizes, you’ll need to go to a designated Post Office or contact the National Lottery directly.

It is far simpler if you have played online, as you will be notified automatically and paid the vast majority of prizes. Go to the Claiming EuroMillions Prizes for more information, and remember that the process and claim period is different if you’ve played overseas. All EuroMillions prizes must be claimed in the same country where the ticket was purchased.

There will be another chance to land a prize in the next EuroMillions draw, when the jackpot will be worth £14 million.
