A Double-Jackpot Weekend for Britain - £36.6 million won!

It's been an exciting weekend for UK lottery players, as two massive jackpots were won in close succession. The £26 million EuroMillions jackpot was won on Friday, followed by a £10.6 million Lotto win on Saturday.

EuroMillions Jackpot

The EuroMillions jackpot was picked up by a player in the UK who successfully matched all five main numbers plus both of the Lucky Star numbers: 6-12-18-25-41 and 2-6.

The previous jackpot was only won on Friday the week before. As a result, the jackpot only had time to roll up once from the starting value of £14 million, netting the winner a £26 million prize. This is a relatively low jackpot compared to other recent EuroMillions wins (there have been three wins in 2025 alone worth over £200 million!), but it's certainly enough to have some fun with.

The lucky winner has already come forward to claim their prize, but at the time of writing, no other details have been made public. Based on recent trends, it seems likely that this winner will choose to remain anonymous, but there's always the possibility that they'll go public with their winnings.

They aren't the only UK millionaire from Friday's EuroMillions draw - the Millionaire Maker raffle add-on, exclusive to the National Lottery, guarantees that one UK ticket holder will win £1,000,000 in every draw, no matter what.

How the Lotto jackpot was won

On the Saturday night draw, one player matched all six main numbers to win the jackpot - the lucky numbers were 6-8-12-33-49-59 and 42 for the Bonus number. The jackpot had been rolling up for five draws when it was won.

The big winner has not yet come forward to claim their prize, but the win is still fresh so this isn't unusual. Players are urged to check their tickets, as the winner could still be unaware of their good fortune (and the actual fortune they've won).

What next for lottery fans?

The EuroMillions jackpot has been reset to its starting value of €17 million, which equates to around £14 million, and the Lotto jackpot is also starting again from £2 million, so it's business as usual for both lotteries.

It's been a lucky weekend for the number 6, which was drawn three times across both sets of winning numbers. Will its lucky streak continue, or is it all spent for now? You be the judge.
