Deadlines Approach for Lottery Winners

Deadlines Approach for Lottery Winners
Updated: Monday 20th December 2021

The claim deadlines are fast approaching for a number of outstanding lottery prizes, seven of which are worth £1 million each and will expire this month. With so much unclaimed cash waiting for the rightful owners to come forward, players are being urged to get up to speed with checking their tickets if they haven’t done so already.

The tickets for each of the £1 million prizes with February expiry dates were purchased for draws that took place in August 2016, so anyone who was distracted by holidays (or schoolkids being at home for the summer break) around then should have a look around for any entries that they might have been too busy to check at the time.

One EuroMillions Millionaire Maker prize of £1 million was won in the draw on Friday 12 August, 2016, and that prize will expire this Wednesday 8 February. The winning entry was purchased in the District Council Area of Wycombe, so if you bought a ticket in that area last year, be sure to check your wallet, purse, handbag, coat pockets, the glove compartment of your car and anywhere else the lucky ticket might be tucked away.

All of the other £1 million prizes which expire this month were won in the Lotto Millionaire Raffle game, so if you are in the habit of checking your Lotto entries but ignoring the raffle number which is automatically awarded with each entry, visit our Unclaimed Lottery Prizes page for full details of the dates on which the prizes were won and the areas in which the winning entries were purchased.

Players who want to check their tickets without having to do so manually can take advantage of our free lottery results checkers which are available for all of the main games played in the UK and Ireland. Simply enter the numbers on your ticket, press the Check Results or Check Raffle Number button, and your entry will be checked against our database of results.

Those of you who play the same numbers on a regular basis can also register to have those numbers checked automatically. Visit our Automatic Checking Facility page to register for free, and you will also be entered into free lottery draws which give you a chance of winning up to £1 million.

In addition to the unclaimed £1 million prizes that we have already discussed, there are numerous other prizes that are waiting for their rightful owners, so be sure to check your entries today and good luck in finding a winner!
