Get Ready For EuroMillions’ Summer Superdraw

The next EuroMillions Superdraw will go ahead on Friday 2nd June, once again putting up a guaranteed jackpot of more than £100 million.

The precise figure will only be confirmed on the day of the draw, but it will be worth €130 million. The jackpot amount is always set in Euros as that is the currency of seven of the nine participating countries, and then it can be converted to pounds based on the exchange rate just before draw time.

EuroMillions Superdraws are special because usually it requires a series of rollovers to build up a nine-figure prize. When the jackpot starts at €130 million, it can rapidly power upwards towards record territory if nobody wins on the night.

You don’t need to do anything differently when there is a Super Jackpot on offer. The cost to play is the same as normal and you are still required to pick five numbers from 1 to 50, plus two Lucky Stars from 1 to 12.

Biggest EuroMillions Jackpots

If the Superdraw jackpot rolls over, it would only take a few weeks for it to hit its limit of €240 million (approximately £210 million). This would set a new record, eclipsing the £195 million that was won by a UK player on 19th July last year. The lucky winner of that jackpot came forward quickly, but opted to stay anonymous.

The UK record had previously been broken just a couple of months earlier in May 2022, when Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester landed a jackpot of £184 million. They revealed that they decided to go public because they did not want the stress of having to keep such big news a secret.

In a year of big winners, the UK’s third-largest lottery prize of all time arrived in September 2022 and was worth £171 million. The winner chose to keep their identity private.

The UK has not had a jackpot winner yet this year, but the upcoming Superdraw could provide the first. Make sure to get involved to give yourself a chance of winning, whether you choose your numbers online or visit an authorised retailer to buy a ticket.
