Updated: Monday 26th February 2018

A UK EuroMillions player shared Friday’s gigantic £155.5 million jackpot with a Spanish ticket holder, banking £77.7 million. Even though they only pocketed half of the top prize pot, the Brit still leapt into the rankings of the country’s biggest EuroMillions winners, currently standing in tenth place.

EuroMillions Results

The EuroMillions numbers from Friday 23rd February were 10, 17, 18, 28 and 47 with Lucky Stars 3 and 7. The two jackpot winners became the first players to match all seven numbers in 2018, with the previous jackpot success coming on Friday 29th December 2017. On that occasion, an Irish family from the Dublin area claimed £34.5 million.

You can find a full prize breakdown for the draw at the EuroMillions Results page.

More UK Millionaires

Even if you didn’t grab the night’s biggest prize, you could still be among the seven additional UK millionaires created on Friday. Along with the usual two UK Millionaire Maker prizes of £1 million, the country captured five of the 25 European Millionaire Maker awards.

European Millionaire Maker draws are held from time-to-time and see everyone across the continent who buys a ticket for that draw entered into a raffle to win prizes worth £1 million. Friday was only the second-ever airing of the game and Spain was the most successful participating nation, producing seven of the winners. The UK’s five successes was enough to take second place, with France and Belgium tying on four wins each in third. There were three Portuguese winners, one Swiss, and Ireland claimed its first win in the European raffle.

The EuroMillions Results page contains all 27 winning raffle codes from Friday night’s draw.

What Next for the UK EuroMillions Winner?

The UK EuroMillions winner has already contact the National Lottery to stake their claim. During the phone call they made over the weekend, they will have organised a meeting with a winners’ advisor, who will check their ticket, help them open a private bank account with a firm that is used to dealing with high-wealth customers, provide them with access to legal and financial support, and authorise their payment. The meeting could be as early as today, with the cash hitting their bank account within hours.

At the meeting, they will discuss whether they want to go public with their news or if they’d like to remain anonymous. Should they wish to share their story, they will attend a press conference in the coming weeks. However, if they prefer to stay private, lottery bosses will not reveal any details about who they are, where they live or whether it is a single player or a syndicate.

Next EuroMillions Jackpot

The next EuroMillions jackpot is worth the base amount of £14 million, which is still more than enough to allow you to quit work and follow your dreams! Buy EuroMillions tickets from retailers, or choose your numbers online as a convenient and safe alternative.
