New Lotto Era Kicks Off With Rollover But 1.4 Million Prize Wins

Updated: Thursday 11th June 2026

The first draw under the new Lotto format ended in a rollover on Wednesday night, but the changes did help to create more than 1.4 million prize wins.

Each draw night now features two rounds. You still pick six numbers from 1 to 59 at a cost of £2, but your chances of winning are effectively twice as good! The numbers you pick are entered into both rounds of the draw and you can win prizes in either round (or even both).

The numbers drawn in Round 1 on Wednesday 10th June were 1, 12, 25, 29, 40 and 41, with a Bonus Ball of 16. The numbers for Round 2 were 2, 5, 12, 42, 47 and 54, with a Bonus Ball of 51.

Round 2 takes place immediately after Round 1, with a separate set of six numbers drawn from another ball machine. This makes it possible for some of the same numbers to appear in both rounds, as the number 12 did on Wednesday.

Nobody matched all the numbers in Wednesday’s big launch, but there were more than 730,000 prizes paid out in both draws, making a total of 1,468,045 winners. For comparison, there were 597,055 winners in total in the Lotto draw a week earlier on Wednesday 3rd June.

Go to the Lotto Results page to view a breakdown of all the winners in the latest draw. Use the Ticket Checker to find out if you won a prize, or go to the How to Play section for a step-by-step guide to how the new two-round format works.

New HotPicks

Lotto HotPicks has also been updated to reflect the changes made to Lotto, following the same two-round format. The biggest prizes of the night actually came in HotPicks, with six players winning in the Match 4 category to land £6,500 each.

In HotPicks, you can decide how many numbers to play - from one to five - and then you must match all the numbers you pick to win the associated prize. For example, there is no prize for choosing five numbers and matching four of them.

More Millionaires To Come

Lotto has been revamped to give players more chances to win, and mathematical modelling suggests there should be more than double the number of millionaires over a 12-month period under the new prize structure.

One way to ensure this happens is the reintroduction of the Lotto Millionaire Raffle. This was originally a feature of Lotto between 2013 and 2018, and is now back in business as part of new Lotto.

It will now take place on selected dates throughout the year rather than alongside every draw, and the first Lotto Millionaire Raffle has been set for Saturday 4th July. You’ll automatically receive a raffle code on your ticket if you enter the Lotto draw on this date, giving you the chance to win one of the £1 million prizes up for grabs.

Keep an eye out for more news about the upcoming raffle draw, and follow the latest Lotto results every Wednesday and Saturday night.
