Unclaimed £1 Million Lotto Prize In Leicestershire

Updated: Friday 26th July 2019

As Lotto players throughout the UK look forward to tomorrow’s draw for a huge £20.9 million, ticket holders from Leicestershire are being urged to check their Millionaire Raffle tickets as the hunt for a secret millionaire continues.

Millionaire Raffle Prize From The Melton Area

Lottery officials are currently trying to track down the identity and location of a Lotto player from the Melton area of Leicester, who has an unclaimed £1 million Lotto Millionaire Raffle Tier One prize from the draw on Wednesday 25th April. The winning code was LIME 8626 7592, and the hope is to unite the winner with their seven-figure windfall sooner rather than later.

The Millionaire Raffle winner has until 22nd October to come forward and claim their prize. It may be that the elusive winner is biding their time before contacting lottery officials, or they might not even realise they are the winner.

Andy Carter, a senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “We’re eager to find the mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.

“We’re urging everyone who bought a Lotto ticket in Leicestershire to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.

“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags, and down the back of the sofa – someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune”, Carter added.

How Does Lotto Millionaire Raffle Work?

The Lotto Millionaire Raffle is a supplementary game to the main Lotto draw, creating two guaranteed millionaires every single week, one each on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Entry to the Millionaire Raffle is included in the cost of a ticket for the main Lotto draw, and each ticket will have a unique raffle code printed on it.

If the 180-day deadline from the date of the draw expires without the Leicestershire-based winner coming forward, the £1 million prize money will be put towards The Good Causes Fund, a National Lottery-led initiative to fund projects throughout the UK.

Keep Tickets Safe Ahead Of Tomorrow’s Lotto Draw

It’s important to keep any Lotto tickets safe ahead of tomorrow’s draw for an estimated £20.9 million to avoid a repeat of the public appeal for the Leicestershire winner. The Lotto draw on Saturday 12th May is a 9x rollover, and there’s still time to join a syndicate to be in with a chance of winning. Best of luck!
