Third UK EuroMillions Winner of 2020 Shares £33 Million Jackpot

Updated: Wednesday 27th May 2020

A EuroMillions player in the UK matched all the numbers in Tuesday’s draw to become the country’s third jackpot winner of the year. The lucky ticket holder split a jackpot worth just over £33 million with another player from France, landing a £16.5 million prize.

The win follows the £57 million jackpot won by another UK player on 17th March and the £58 million won by tradesman Ryan Hoyle exactly one month later on Friday 17th April. It is the first time since 28th May 2019 that the EuroMillions jackpot has been won by more than one player in the same draw. On that occasion the jackpot-winning entries were bought in France and Belgium.

The winning numbers from the EuroMillions draw on Tuesday 26th May were 4, 9, 14, 21, 27, with Lucky Stars 4 and 6. The UK ticket holder that matched all of them to win the jackpot now has 180 days to come forward and claim the prize. If they don’t contact the National Lottery within two weeks the location in which the winning ticket was bought may be disclosed by the National Lottery to prompt the winner to make contact.

Andy Carter, the National Lottery’s senior winners’ adviser, said: “It’s great news for one UK winner who has scooped a share of tonight’s £33 million EuroMillions jackpot – winning an amazing £16.5 million. Players are urged to check their tickets online to see if they are the latest big winner.”

Enter your numbers into the EuroMillions Checker to find out if you’re holding on to a winning entry. The EuroMillions jackpot has now reset to its starting value of £15 million for the next draw on Friday 29th May and entries are available online.

The National Lottery has not suspended prize claims during the coronavirus lockdown but some retailers have taken the decision to stop offering payouts in an effort to reduce contact and help protect their staff and customers. Players have also been encouraged to only purchase tickets as part of their essential shop.

If you have won a prize and are unable to claim it at a retailer, you can claim by post. You should send your winning ticket, along with a prize claim form for any prizes worth more than £5,000, to: The National Lottery, PO Box 287, Watford, WD18 9TT. The National Lottery has stated that it has seen a significant increase in postal claims, so they may take longer than normal to process
