Superdraw Rollover Pushes EuroMillions Jackpot Higher

Updated: Monday 12th September 2022

The latest EuroMillions Superdraw on Friday 9th September failed to produce the second big winner in the space of seven days, after a UK player pocketed £110 million a week earlier.

A remarkable few days for EuroMillions fans began on Friday 2nd September, when a single ticket holder matched all the winning numbers to land the nine-figure jackpot that had been building for more than a month.

That lucky player quickly came forward to claim their money, while the jackpot was quickly pushed back up to £112 million (a fixed €130 million) for Friday’s Superdraw. In a Superdraw, it does not matter if the jackpot has just been won or not. The advertised amount is guaranteed as it uses money from the Reserve Fund.

Two UK players matched five main numbers plus one Lucky Star in the Superdraw to win £112,345 each, but the jackpot rolled over. See all the Superdraw Details, including the winning MIllionaire Maker code.

The jackpot for the next draw on Tuesday night will now be worth around £124 million, and it will keep growing larger until there is a winner or until it reaches its cap of €240 million. The jackpot is always set in Euros and converted to pounds on the day of the draw based on the current exchange rate.

UK Winners Dominate in 2022

There are nine participating countries in EuroMillions and the chances of winning are the same for everyone, regardless of where they buy their tickets, but the UK has dominated 2022 in terms of big jackpots.

Five out of the 12 jackpot winners this year have come from the UK. Even more incredibly, all four of the prizes that have been worth at least £100 million this year have gone to UK players.

The only winners to go public so far in 2022 have been Joe and Jess Thwaite, from Gloucester, who banked £184 million in May. Their UK record was surpassed by a £195 million win in July, and now another record could be on the cards if the jackpot rises much higher.

Remember to keep an eye on the EuroMillions results straight after every draw to see the latest winning numbers, and make sure you don’t miss out on the chance to win the big jackpot.
