Portuguese Player Scoops £15.1 Million EuroMillions Jackpot

A Portuguese player became the third EuroMillions jackpot winner in four draws after banking £15.1 million on Tuesday 11th July. They follow Irish and UK ticket holders who have also matched all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars in recent days.

Tuesday night’s EuroMillions numbers were 14, 22, 26, 42 and 50 with Lucky Stars 8 and 10. Although the largest prize pocketed by a UK player in the main game was just £20,376 for matching five main numbers, two Brits added £1 million each to their bank balances thanks to Millionaire Maker. You can find the winning codes and a full prize breakdown at the EuroMillions Results page.

Last night’s winner has 90 days to come forward and pick up their winnings from the Portuguese lottery, half the time allowed by the UK National Lottery. They are their country’s 65th EuroMillions jackpot winner, which puts the nation just one success behind the UK on 66. France (85) and Spain (82) lead the way when it comes to claiming the lottery’s top prize.

The recent run of successful draws followed a seven-rollover streak in early June. That came to an end with a bang, when a UK player pocketed £87.5 million in the year’s first Superdraw on Friday 30th June. The following Tuesday saw another rollover, before an Irish ticket holder hit the £25.6 million jackpot on Friday on a ticket bought in Co Mayo.

To keep the run going, you can choose your EuroMillions numbers online right now. Alternatively, tickets can be bought at authorised retailers around the country. Best of luck!
