Lotto Jackpot Won Again as Player Scoops £1.9 Million

The Lotto jackpot was won for the second draw in a row last night as a single ticket holder matched all six main numbers to pocket £1.9 million. A massive £14.4 million had been given away in the previous draw on Saturday.

Wednesday’s winning numbers were 7, 17, 28, 43, 44 and 45, with Bonus Ball 54. As well as the jackpot winner, there were 825,538 other prizes snapped up, ranging from a free Lotto Lucky Dip for matching two main numbers to £612 for matching five main numbers.

One lucky player also won £1 million after matching the code RUBY 1446 3782, while 20 other players banked prizes of £20,000. Visit the Lotto Results page for a full list of all the winning Lotto Raffle codes, plus a prize breakdown from Lotto.

The fact that the Lotto jackpot has been won in consecutive draws shows that you never know when or where luck might strike, but one pub in Scunthorpe could claim to be the most fortunate place in the UK after producing more than its fair share of big winners.

Dave and Kathleen Long could already be regarded as two of the luckiest EuroMillions players in history, having won the £1 million Millionaire Maker prize on two separate occasions. They first became millionaires in 2013, then grabbed another £1 million win in 2015.

The Longs’ luck has now rubbed off on the landlord of their local pub, with Ian Brooke scooping £1 million in the Millionaire Maker on Friday 28th July. Brooke, who runs The Mallard, plans to share the money with two of his closest friends. Joined by his pals and the Longs as he was presented with his cheque, Ian said: “The Mallard has to be the luckiest pub in the UK, if not Europe. Three big National Lottery wins in four years – it is absolutely amazing.”

Ian plans to carry on playing regularly in the hope of winning again like the Longs, and he will have a £32 million jackpot to aim for in EuroMillions on Friday night. There is also a £3.2 million Lotto jackpot up for grabs if you reckon the top prize will be won for a third straight draw. You can get involved in either game by buying tickets from authorised retailers or picking numbers online. Good luck!
