Postcode Lottery Good Causes
In 2013 the People's Postcode Lottery's parent company, Novamedia, was recognised as the world's second-largest private charity donor. The People's Postcode Lottery makes up one-fifth of Novamedia and promotes lotteries on behalf of a number of different charitable trusts. A minimum of 30% of Postcode Lottery ticket sales is donated to good causes, with grants issued to charities and projects around the world.
The People's Postcode Lottery publishes a breakdown of charitable spending publicly and since its inception in 2005 it alone has donated more than £168 million to a wide range of good causes in such diverse fields as children's welfare, animal protection, culture, the environment and more.
