Year Ends with Lotto Jackpot Success

Year Ends with Lotto Jackpot Success

The last EuroMillions game of 2012 didn’t see any player win the jackpot, but the year still managed to end with jackpot-winning success thanks to the Lotto game on Saturday 29 December. Draw machine Guinevere and set of Balls number 2 was used to generate the Lotto numbers, and those were 06, 08, 31, 37, 40 and 48, along with the Bonus Ball number 36. The jackpot was worth £4,295,160 and there were two winning tickets, so each of those now has a value of £2,147,580. That would be a fantastic end to the year for anyone, so a massive well done to both of the winners who saw their lottery dreams come true.

Five Lotto tickets matched five of the main numbers and also the Bonus Ball number to win a very useful consolation prize of £264,317 each, and another 312 tickets won their owners £2,647 each after matching five main numbers only. 19,553 tickets matched four main numbers to win a fourth-tier prize of £92 each, and 404,608 tickets won £10 each by matching three main numbers. The next Lotto jackpot – which just happens to be the first one of 2013, this Wednesday 2 January – is expected to be worth around £2.1 million.

We are pleased that the Lotto game delivered its jackpot because the EuroMillions game on Friday 28 December wasn’t nearly as forthcoming. The EuroMillions results in the latest draw were 17, 24, 26, 27 and 49, along with the Lucky Star numbers 03 and 05. The jackpot weighed in at just over £21.87 million, and the rollover means that the next game this Tuesday 1 January will have an estimated jackpot of around £30 million.

Whilst no player won the EuroMillions jackpot on Friday, five came very close to doing so, missing out by just one Lucky Star number. Each of those winning tickets won a consolation prize of £244,247, and 11 other tickets won their owners a third-tier prize of £37,007 each by matching five main numbers only. There were over 2.99 million other prize winners at the lower prize levels, and one player here in the UK picked up life-changing prize of £1 million by matching the number GYT455882 in the Millionaire Raffle game.

Talking of the Millionaire Raffle, don’t forget that the game on New Year’s Day will pay out 25 prizes worth £1 million each, and that you automatically get one entry for every EuroMillions entry you purchase. That means you can buy a ticket for the next game this Tuesday and have a chance of winning the £30 million EuroMillions jackpot as well as one of the 25 Millionaire Raffle prizes. Buy several tickets and your chances of winning will be even better!

Because many people will be celebrating New Year’s Eve quite boisterously tonight and possibly nursing a sore head tomorrow, it might be a good idea to buy your tickets online early (try right here, right now) so that you can focus on the partying and subsequent recovery without missing out on your chance to win big.

Have a Happy New Year and good luck with your numbers on New Year’s Day!
