Weekend of Lottery Celebrations

Weekend of Lottery Celebrations
Updated: Tuesday 8th April 2014

The weekend just gone was packed with lottery celebrations, and several lucky players will now be welcoming the new month of September with a life-changing win at their disposal. The winning started on Friday night, when two players (from France and Portugal) shared a EuroMillions jackpot worth £21,885,637. Then, on Saturday night, three players shared a Lotto jackpot worth £3,416,238, whilst another player landed the top prize of £100,000 in the Health Lottery game!

Taking the games in the order they were played, the EuroMillions results on Friday 30 August were 02, 17, 25, 36 and 45, and the Lucky Stars were 05 and 09. We have already mentioned the fact that there were two jackpot winners, but there were more than 2.53 million consolation prizes landed as well. There were 13 tickets that matched the five main numbers plus one Lucky Star to win £81,674 each, and another 15 tickets won £23,594 each by matching five main numbers only. The biggest winner in the UK was the player who matched the Millionaire Raffle number PFX349818 to win the very useful sum of £1,000,000.

The Lotto results on Saturday 31 August were 04, 14, 15, 17, 21 and 31, with the number 48 appearing as the Bonus Ball. Because the jackpot had a final value of £3,416,238, each of the three winners is now £1,138,746 richer than they were before the game, so well done to the players concerned. Nine tickets won their owners £116,794 each after matching five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, and 666 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £986 each. Another 544,746 tickets won £48 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers.

Last, but by no means least, the Health Lottery results on Saturday were 01, 10, 16, 35 and 40, and the Bonus Ball was 04. The biggest winner in the game was obviously the player who matched all five main numbers to win £100,000, but there were also more than 9,900 consolation prizes landed, including success at the £10,000 level.

All of the above means that players have a fresh batch of jackpots to play for in this first week of a fresh new month. The EuroMillions jackpot this Tuesday 3 September will be worth around £12 million, whilst the Lotto jackpot on Wednesday 4 September is expected to be worth around £2 million. Visit this page to buy your tickets online and the end of summer just might bring you the start of a whole new life as a multi-millionaire!
