Week Ends with Two New Jackpots

Week Ends with Two New Jackpots
Updated: Thursday 10th September 2015

The end of the week is almost upon us, and not only does that mean that most of us will get the chance to enjoy some well-earned rest and relaxation, it also means that we will get another couple of chances to win big in the EuroMillions and Lotto games. Both of those lottery games boast brand new jackpots, so there will be around £10 million to play for in the EuroMillions draw on Friday, and around £3.8 million to pursue in the Lotto game on Saturday. Add in the associated Millionaire Maker and Lotto Raffle games and celebrations are guaranteed!

Two players who have already got cause to celebrate are the owners of the two tickets that matched all six main numbers in the midweek Lotto game. The Lotto results on Wednesday 9 September were 06, 18, 20, 21, 29 and 31, and the Bonus Ball was number 03. The jackpot had a final value of £1,782,588, which means that each of the winners can now claim an equal share worth £891,294. That sum was less than estimated, but reflects the fact that more consolation prizes were won due to all of the main numbers being within the ‘days of the month range’ of 1-31.

Seven lucky players matched five main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball number, and each of those won a second tier prize of £20,326. There were 197 tickets that matched five main numbers only to win £613 each, and more than 158,000 tickets won smaller prizes of £70 or £25 each by matching four or three main numbers, respectively. In addition, the Lotto Raffle game awarded a prize of £20,000 to each of 50 winners.

For players who like to follow the most overdue numbers, the ones to watch out for in the Lotto game on Saturday are 11, 34, 37, 13, 35 and 36. As far as the EuroMillions game on Friday is concerned, the most overdue main numbers are 13, 25, 26, 17 and 38, and the most overdue Lucky Stars are 11 and 03.

Whatever numbers you choose to play for the games that are coming up, be sure to buy your tickets in plenty of time for the draws, good luck with your numbers and have a great weekend!
