UK Players Celebrate EuroMillions Windfalls

UK Players Celebrate EuroMillions Windfalls

While Friday’s EuroMillions draw may have ended in a rollover, more than 600,000 UK players still did exceptionally well, including one ticket holder who was the sole winner in the Match 5 + 1 Lucky Star tier. They walked away with just over £1 million for their efforts, boosting the total British prize pool in the main game to just over £4.4 million.

The winning EuroMillions numbers for Friday 7th August were 1, 5, 21, 39, and 44 with Lucky Stars 4 and 11. Apart from the fortunate British winner, more than 2.1 million participants grabbed cash amounts worth between £2.90 (€3.80) for matching two main numbers and £49,589 (€64,931) for matching all five main numbers drawn.

Another UK ticket holder had significant success on Millionaire Maker, matching the winning code of FGF188408 to scoop £1 million, with a French player grabbing €1 million for matching the winning My Million code of DB 070 2829. For a full prize breakdown as well as other details from Friday’s draw, visit the EuroMillions Results page.

The UK had the largest number of winners and the largest prize pool by a long shot, but Spain only narrowly beat France into second place with 413,367 participants splitting €2.85 million. There were 407,279 French ticket holders who shared €2.81 million between themselves. In last place was Ireland, with 47,086 players grabbing a combined €429,322.

Tomorrow’s EuroMillions jackpot will be worth an estimated £21 million (€30 million) after two successive rollovers. If you think you have what it takes to become the first jackpot winner of the month, be sure to buy EuroMillions tickets online or from authorised retailers before 7.30pm BST (8.30pm CEST) on the night. Good luck and have fun!
