UK Player Lands EuroMillions Jackpot
A single ticket purchased by a player in the UK matched all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars in the EuroMillions game on Friday to take down a jackpot worth £107,932,603. The winner has already contacted lottery officials to claim their prize, and if their claim is processed quickly they could have the cash at their disposal by the end of business today. This jackpot win is the fourth biggest in the history of UK lottery gaming, so the winner will have to think carefully about whether or not to go public.
The results that gave the UK its first EuroMillions jackpot success of the year were 06, 24, 25, 27 and 30, and the Lucky Star numbers were 05 and 09. The jackpot win was obviously the biggest success story of the night, but there were quite a few consolation prizes landed as well. At the second and third tiers, seven tickets won £251,609 each by matching all five main numbers and one Lucky Star, whilst 17 tickets matched the five main numbers only to win £34,534 each. The total number of prizes won in the EuroMillions game was 4,427,528, and that doesn't include the Millionaire Raffle prize of £1 million that was won by the ticket bearing the number GZC455768.
There was more jackpot-winning activity in the Lotto game at the weekend, with four tickets matching all six main numbers to share a jackpot that was worth £6,235,392. The total number of prizes landed in the game was 299,297, and the biggest consolation payouts – worth £34,686 each – went to 11 tickets that matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball. The Lotto Raffle game awarded a prize of £20,000 to each of 100 winners, but because the jackpot in the main game was landed, it will revert to creating 50 more winners in the next game on Wednesday.
The Health Lottery game wasn't to be outdone, and one ticket was able to win a £100,000 top prize by matching all five main numbers. The results on Saturday were 03, 17, 30, 32 and 33, and the Bonus Ball number was 42. There were more than 75,000 tickets that won a consolation prize of some kind, and ten Hot Ticket prizes were also won. Players who matched two main numbers won a free Quick Pick ticket for the next draw, and the free ticket promotion will continue running until Wednesday 30th April.
We look forward to finding if the big EuroMillions winner will choose to go public in the next day or two, but we also have a couple of brand new lottery jackpots to play for in the meantime. Click here to buy your tickets online and if you don't win £12 million in the EuroMillions game this Tuesday you just might fare better in the £2.2 million Lotto game on Wednesday. Good luck!
