Two Win Lotto as Euro Rolls
Updated: Tuesday 22nd April 2014
The EuroMillions jackpot rolled over on Friday 22 June, but jackpot-seekers didn’t have to wait very long for success because two tickets shared the top prize in the Lotto game on Saturday. The Lotto results for Saturday 23 June were 03, 25, 28, 30, 39 and 45, and the Bonus Ball was 05. The jackpot had a final value of £4,216,914, so each of the tickets that matched the six main numbers is now worth of £2,108,457.
Six tickets matched five of the main Lotto numbers and the Bonus Ball to win a second-tier prize worth £216,252 each. 365 tickets won £2,221 each by matching five main numbers only, 24,181 tickets matched four main numbers to win £73 each and 481,267 tickets picked up the smallest prize of £10 each by matching three main numbers. The next Lotto game takes place this Wednesday and the jackpot will be worth an estimated £2.2 million.
In the EuroMillions game on Friday 22 June, the main numbers drawn were 14, 18, 19, 43 and 49, and the Lucky Star numbers were 03 and 07. The jackpot was worth a ‘regulation’ €15 million (£12.11 million for those of us in the UK) but it rolled to the next game this Tuesday 26 June, when it is expected to be worth around £17 million or so. Usually the second-tier would console at least a few players who had come close to winning the jackpot, but no ticket won a second-tier prize either.
Six tickets matched five main numbers only to win a third-tier prize of €363,306 each (there is no sterling equivalent because none of those tickets were purchased in the UK) and 55 tickets won £3,472 each by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars. The total number of EuroMillions prizes won on Friday was 2,674,921, but the biggest payout of all came thanks to the Millionaire Raffle number RTJ822401, which made one UK player £1 million richer.
Congratulations as usual to everyone who won a lottery prize last Friday and Saturday, and good luck to those of you who buy lottery tickets online for the midweek games this Tuesday and Wednesday!
