Two Tickets Win Lotto Jackpot
Two tickets shared the Lotto jackpot on Wednesday 15 February, and the value of that jackpot was higher than the estimated £2.2 million, weighing in at a very impressive £2,360,238. The Lotto results that delivered this twin jackpot win were 09, 28, 30, 33, 40 and 44, and the Bonus Ball number was 16. We don’t yet know who actually owns the jackpot winning tickets, so they could either be lottery syndicates or individual players. Whatever the case, if the winners are aware of their win we imagine that they will currently be planning some big celebrations for this weekend, if not earlier!
Missing out on a Lotto jackpot by a single main number can’t be an easy experience, but fortunately there are consolation prizes paid to everyone who faces that situation. 261 tickets matched five main numbers on Wednesday, and 8 of those tickets also matched the Bonus Ball number to win £90,778 each. The 253 tickets that didn’t match the Bonus Ball as well as their five main numbers won £1,794 each, which illustrates just how valuable the Bonus Ball can be.
14,594 tickets matched four main numbers to win £68 each, and 275,203 tickets won the smallest prize of £10 each after matching three main numbers. Players who added a Lotto Plus 5 entry to their Wednesday Lotto entry can now look forward to five more chances to win with their numbers between now and next Tuesday, with a pause only for the Lotto game this Saturday. Talking of that game, the next Lotto jackpot is estimated to be worth around £4.2 million, and it will be interesting to see if that estimate is exceeded as it was in the midweek draw.
Players who fancy winning even more than £4.2 million can get involved in the EuroMillions game this Friday 17 February, where there is a double rollover jackpot of around £28 million to be won. Will someone match the numbers needed to land that prize or will the jackpot roll over again? Buy your lottery tickets online today and you’ll soon find out!
