Two Tickets Share Triple Lotto Jackpot

Two Tickets Share Triple Lotto Jackpot
Updated: Tuesday 22nd April 2014

Two tickets shared a triple rollover Lotto jackpot of £15,192,740 on Saturday 10 December, giving each one a value of over £7.59 million. The Lotto results which brought about this massive pre-Christmas windfall were 16, 21, 24, 29, 30 and 39, and the Bonus Ball – which wasn’t required to land the jackpot – was 20. On the same day, one ticket won the double-value Health Lottery jackpot of £200,000, not by matching all five main numbers – namely 05, 07, 21, 45 and 47 – but by having the winning Second Chance Guaranteed ticket number, which was EH0007547126.

11 tickets picked up a second-tier Lotto prize by matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, and each of those prizes was worth £143,439. 443 tickets won £2,226 each by matching five main numbers only and 577,397 tickets matched four or three main numbers to win £78 or £10 each, respectively.

All of this action took place the day after the EuroMillions jackpot rolled for the second time in a row. The EuroMillions results on Friday 9 December were 12, 21, 29, 44 and 47, and the Lucky Star numbers were 01 and 02. The fact that no player matched all of these numbers means that there is a double rollover jackpot of around £28 million to play for this Tuesday 13 December. Of course, one player in the UK who already has something big to celebrate is the owner of the Millionaire Raffle ticket that won £1 million by matching the number ZWV447087.

Six tickets matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win a EuroMillions second-tier prize of £204,997 each, and two of those tickets had been purchased in the UK. A dozen more tickets (three purchased by UK players) won £34,166 each by matching the five main numbers only. The total number of EuroMillions prizes won last Friday was 2,879,153.

The EuroMillions game this Tuesday gives players their next chance to become a multi-millionaire before Christmas, so buy your lottery tickets online today and if you don’t win the EuroMillions jackpot you’ll only have to wait one more day until you have a chance of winning the £2.2 million Lotto game on Wednesday. Good luck!
