Two Tickets Share Double Rollover
Updated: Thursday 24th April 2014
Two tickets matched all six Lotto numbers in the draw that took place on Wednesday 12 May to share a double rollover jackpot worth £11 million. The lottery results were 11, 17, 19, 40, 44 and 45, and the Bonus Ball was number 16. Each of the two winning tickets now has a precise value of £5,505,450, so if you bought a ticket for the midweek Lotto draw and you haven’t yet checked it against the results, you might want to do so now. And for those of you who didn’t win a major prize, don’t despair because there is a EuroMillions jackpot of £86 to play for this Friday!
As well as the two tickets that won a share of the double rollover jackpot, six tickets matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win a second-tier prize worth £174,945 each. Another 348 players matched five numbers only and won £1,885 each, and the Lotto game as a whole delivered 428,053 prizes to lucky players all over the UK. The Lotto jackpot has now been reset and will offer a jackpot worth around £4.5 million this Saturday 15 May.
The Thunderball draw that took place on Wednesday 12 May was the first to feature the new rules and a ‘twice-as-nice’ jackpot of £500,000. The lottery results for the Wednesday game were 11, 21, 24, 32 and 38, and the Thunderball was 10. No player managed to match all five numbers plus the Thunderball, so the first ever £500,000 jackpot proved to be rather elusive. Fortunately there were plenty of winners of non-jackpot prizes, and four of them matched the five main numbers without the Thunderball to pick up £5,000 each.
The next big National Lottery draw to look forward to is for a EuroMillions jackpot worth £86 million this Friday 14 May. Buy lottery tickets online today and you just might enter the weekend as one of the richest people in the country!Published: Thursday 13th May 2010
