Two Share Wednesday Lotto Jackpot

Two Share Wednesday Lotto Jackpot
Updated: Thursday 24th April 2014

Two tickets shared the Wednesday Lotto jackpot of £2,578,038, making each one worth an impressive £1,289,019. We don’t yet know who the owners of those two lucky tickets are, but as soon as we do we will bring you all of the exciting details. In the meantime, lottery players have a rollover jackpot of around £22 million to play for in the EuroMillions game this Friday 20 May, and a fresh Lotto jackpot of around £4.4 million to play for on Saturday 21 May.

The Lotto results last Wednesday 18 May were 06, 15, 20, 36, 38 and 42, and the Bonus Ball was 04. In addition to the two jackpot winners, 12 players matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win a second tier prize of £66,103 each and 267 players matched five main numbers only to win £1,856 each. Another 264,458 players picked up prizes of £80 or £10 for matching four or three main numbers, respectively.

Readers who would like to take the latest Lotto Statistics into consideration when making their entries for the next draw this Saturday 21 May should note that the most overdue numbers are 19, 26, 23, 31, 16 and 13. The inclusion of one or more of these ‘overdue numbers’ does not alter the statistical chance of you winning a Lotto jackpot (or indeed any Lotto prize) one way or the other, so if the idea appeals to you it is as good an approach as any.

Of course, before we get to the Lotto draw on Saturday we have the EuroMillions rollover jackpot to pursue this Friday 20 May. Now that the odds of winning any prize at all are 1 in 13 the odds of broad success are as good as they have ever been, though the odds of winning the jackpot itself are more challenging now that there are two more Lucky Stars in play. The odds of winning the Millionaire Raffle prize of £1,000,000 continue to be determined by the number of tickets sold for the EuroMillions draw in question, but one UK player will definitely win, which is always nice to know.
