Two Share Midweek Lotto Jackpot

Two Share Midweek Lotto Jackpot

Two tickets shared the midweek Lotto jackpot on Wednesday 1 May, and the lottery results that enabled them to succeed were 07, 08, 11, 12, 39 and 42. The jackpot had a final value of £1,775,186, which means that each winning ticket is now worth £887,593. That won’t give the owners millionaire status all by itself, but it could probably be turned into a million with some wise investment. Or the winners could simple choose to start enjoying their wealth straight away!

Seven tickets matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number (which was 02) to win a consolation prize worth £78,030 each, whilst 284 tickets matched five main numbers without the Bonus Ball to win £1,202 each. There were 16,590 tickets that matched four main numbers to win £45 each, and 311,706 tickets won £10 each by matching three main numbers. The total amount of prize money won by Lotto players last night was £6,526,374, and the next jackpot this Saturday 4 May will be worth around £3.8 million.

The Irish Lotto jackpot wasn’t as cooperative as the one in the UK game, with no player managing to match all six main numbers drawn. The Irish Lotto results for Wednesday 1 May were 16, 21, 22, 26, 33 and 35, and the Bonus Ball was 45. One ticket matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number to win €25,000, and over 24,000 tickets won smaller consolation prizes. The next Irish Lotto game this Saturday will now offer a rollover jackpot that is expected to be worth around €2.5 million.

Health Lottery players who had hoped to win a top prize of £100,000 last night were disappointed, with no ticket matching all five numbers drawn. Those numbers were 15, 19, 23, 29 and 31, and although the top prize proved unreachable, more than 1,800 tickets matched four or three numbers to win a consolation prize of £250 or £20 each.

All of that sets lottery players up for a rather impressive Bank Holiday weekend. The EuroMillions lottery game will get things underway this Friday night with a rollover jackpot of around £21 million, and then on Saturday you can play for £3.8 million, €2.5 million and £100,000 in the UK Lotto, Irish Lotto and Health Lottery games, respectively.
