Two Share Lotto Rollover
Updated: Monday 20th July 2015
Two tickets landed the rollover jackpot in the midweek Lotto game on Wednesday 31 August. The jackpot had been estimated to be worth around £6.6 million but in the end it was even bigger, weighing in at £7,427,816. That gives each of the two winning tickets a value of £3,713,908, so if the owners of those tickets don’t already realise that they have won they certainly have a nice surprise in store when they do! The Lotto results which won the jackpot were 05, 26, 43, 46, 47 and 49. The Bonus Ball, which is required to win a second-tier consolation prize, was 28.
Talking of second-tier prizes, three tickets matched five of the six main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win £296,053 each, which is a hefty chunk of cash for just coming close! 197 tickets won £2,817 each by matching five main numbers only and 282,221 tickets won either £84 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers, respectively. Add all of those prizes up and you will see that a total of 282,423 tickets won a Lotto prize of some kind last night.
Players who elected to enter their midweek Lotto numbers into the Lotto Plus 5 game will now be keen to see if they manage to win themselves any cash on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. The top prize in every Lotto Plus 5 draw is £250,000, and with five chances to win a jackpot with a single entry there is still plenty of time for players to add another quarter of a million to their bank accounts.
Of course, as far as the really big money is concerned all eyes will now be on the EuroMillions jackpot this Friday 2 September, where the top prize is estimated to be worth around £100 million. Buy your lottery tickets for that game and if luck is on your side you could be one of the richest people in the country by the end of the week!
