Two Share Lottery Jackpot

Two Share Lottery Jackpot

Two tickets shared the Lotto jackpot on Saturday 12 June, and although it is too early to say if these tickets were bought by individuals or syndicates, do know that each ticket is worth £2,347,348. The lottery results for the game on Saturday were 01, 16, 17, 19, 33 and 34, and the Bonus Ball was number 09. The dual Lotto win came one day after a UK player won a EuroMillions jackpot worth £12,408,000, and with the top prizes won in both of these lottery games, the jackpots have been reset. The Lotto jackpot this Wednesday 16 June will be worth around £2.4 million, whilst the EuroMillions jackpot this Friday 18 June will be worth around £12 million.

Nine players missed out on the Lotto jackpot by one main number but managed to match the Bonus Ball and win a second tier prize of £160,502 each. 445 players matched five main numbers only to win £2,028 each, and another 23,254 players matched four main numbers only to win £85 each. Add in the 477,081 players who matched three numbers to win the minimum prize of £10 each and the total amount paid out to lottery winners in the midweek Lotto game came to more than £13.78 million.

The EuroMillions game on Friday was even more generous, as should be expected from one of the biggest lottery games in the world. The jackpot winner was obviously the player with the most to celebrate, but another UK player wasn’t far behind thanks to winning £1,000,000 in the Millionaire Raffle game with the number VRK095315. Eight players matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star number to win £263,598 each and nine more matched five main numbers only to win £66,493 each.

Although there were clearly plenty of lottery winners last weekend, there were of course plenty of people who weren’t lucky enough to win a prize. If you were one of these then don’t despair because, as always, there are quite a few chances to win big money again this week.

As we mentioned earlier, the Lotto jackpot on Wednesday will be worth around £2.4 million, and for those who take an interest in such things, our Lottery Statistics page identifies the numbers 07, 13, 18, 43, 35 and 38 as being the ones that are most overdue to be drawn. Then, on Friday, you can play for £12 million in the EuroMillions game. Mix in Thunderball opportunities on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and another Lotto game on Saturday, and if you buy lottery tickets online then this really could be your lucky week!
