Two More Lotto Jackpot Winners!
Updated: Wednesday 9th April 2014
For the second Lotto draw in a row, two tickets matched all six main numbers on Wednesday 12 December to share the jackpot equally. The midweek Lotto jackpot was worth £2,101,094, so each of the winners is now £1,050,547 richer than they were before the game took place. The Lotto results that helped the lucky players to achieve millionaire status were 09, 15, 18, 33, 38 and 44, and the Bonus Ball number (which is never needed to win the jackpot itself) was 16. The total number of prize winners in the game was 311,751.
Six tickets matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number to win a second-tier prize of £107,748 each, and 388 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £1,041 each. At the lower prize levels, 17,719 tickets won £50 each by matching four main numbers only and another 293,636 tickets matched three main numbers to win £10 each.
The next Lotto game takes place this Saturday 15 December and the jackpot is expected to be worth around £4 million. For anyone who likes to take our Lottery statistics into account when making selections, the most overdue Lotto numbers right now are 13, 43, 08, 06, 42 and 11. None of those numbers have a greater chance of appearing than any others, but they don’t have a lesser chance either, so if any of them seem lucky to you feel free to follow your instincts because it won’t harm your odds in the least.
As regular lottery players will already be aware, before we get to that £4 million Lotto game on Saturday there is a much bigger jackpot to play for in the EuroMillions game this Friday 14 December. The EuroMillions jackpot has rolled over six times in a row and the estimated jackpot for the next draw is a massive £61 million. Will the seventh draw since the last EuroMillions jackpot win prove lucky for aspiring Euromillionaires? We’ll just have to wait and see!
Congratulations to everyone who won a Lotto prize of any size on Wednesday, and particularly to the two players who managed to share the biggest prize of all. For those of you who would quite like to win your own lottery jackpot before the week is over, enter your numbers here and may you have all the luck you need to succeed!
