Two Big Midweek Lotto Fortunes
Updated: Thursday 10th April 2014
There are two big midweek Lotto fortunes to be won tonight (Wednesday 29 August) thanks to rollovers in the previous draws last Saturday. In the UK Lotto game the jackpot has rolled over twice and will be worth an estimated £8.6 million. In the Irish Lotto game the jackpot has rolled over nine times in a row and will be worth around €8.5 million. Tickets cost the same as usual for both games, so if you fancy winning yourself a hefty seven figure sum, all you have to do is enter your numbers and you will have two opportunities to do just that tonight!
The EuroMillions jackpot last night was worth £11.91 million, but no player in any country managed to match the seven numbers needed to win it. Of course, one player in the UK still won themselves millionaire status by matching the Millionaire Raffle number for a prize of £1,000,000, and the winning number this time was PHD207389.
For those of you who haven’t yet checked your tickets, the EuroMillions results on Tuesday 28 August were 01, 18, 25, 26 and 44, and the Lucky Star numbers were 04 and 05. There were three tickets that matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win €359,462 each, but none of those tickets had been bought by UK players and so no sterling equivalent is applicable.
Eight tickets – two purchased by UK players – matched five main numbers only to win £32,139 each. 42 tickets won £3,060 each by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars, and another 734 tickets matched four of the main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars to win £153 each. Over 1.7 million prizes were won in total.
All of this means that players not only have two big midweek Lotto fortunes to play for this evening, but also a rollover EuroMillions jackpot this Friday 31 August that is expected to be worth around £21 million. Buy your lottery tickets for all three games today and if your numbers come up you could start the month of September with more money than you know what to do with! Enjoy the games and good luck!
