Two Big Lottery Rollover Jackpots
Updated: Thursday 7th May 2015
Lottery players who would like to win more than a standard jackpot will have two chances to do precisely that this Friday and Saturday because rollover jackpots will be up for grabs in both the EuroMillions and Lotto games. The EuroMillions game will offer a triple rollover jackpot worth around £29 million, and the Lotto rollover jackpot will be worth an estimated £5.3 million. Add in the £1 million that will be won in the Millionaire Maker game and the 50 prizes of £20,000 that are guaranteed in the Lotto Raffle game and it promises to be an especially exciting end to election week!
The first special Lotto Raffle millionaire of May was created this week, and the winning number that was worth £1 million to the player who matched it was RUBY 6377 3617. Another 50 Lotto Raffle prizes of £20,000 each were also landed, but the jackpot in the main game eluded players everywhere. For those of you who haven’t yet checked your tickets, the Lotto results for Wednesday 6 May were 01, 11, 14, 15, 19 and 41, with the number 40 appearing as the Bonus Ball.
Whilst the jackpot rolled over in the midweek Lotto game, plenty of players won consolation prizes. The biggest of those were found at the second tier, where two tickets matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win £80,697 each. The third tier saw 148 tickets win £925 each by matching five main numbers only, and 8,386 won £86 each by matching four main numbers. There were 153,195 tickets that matched three main numbers to win the smallest prize of £25 each.
With not one but two rollover jackpots on offer in the games coming up, players may be even more interested than usual in playing one or more numbers highlighted on our Lottery Statistics page. For the EuroMillions game, the most overdue main numbers are 16, 07, 41, 15 and 09, and the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 04 and 05. For the Lotto game, the most overdue numbers right now are 32, 16, 13, 34, 40 and 12.
