Tuesday EuroMillions Looms Closer
There are now just two more Friday EuroMillions draws to go before we can start buying tickets for the first ever Tuesday draw which will take place on Tuesday 10 May. That means there are only two more draws in which you can win a EuroMillions jackpot by picking five main numbers from the range 1 to 50 and two Lucky Star numbers from the range 1 to 9, because from Saturday 7 May you will need to pick five main numbers from 1 to 50 as usual plus two Lucky Star numbers from the range 1 to 11.
The addition of two more Lucky Star numbers will obviously make the task of winning a EuroMillions jackpot more difficult, but the addition of an extra prize tier (making 13 in all) will actually improve your odds of winning a consolation prize. When the new rules come into play, your odds of winning any EuroMillions prize will be 1 in 13 (currently your odds are 1 in 24), so with two draws a week instead of just one, you could be winning four times as often!
Even the fact that the jackpot will be a bit more difficult to win from Tuesday 10 May has something positive to be said for it. Because winning the jackpot will be more challenging, we can expect jackpots to roll over more frequently. This means that we will enjoy bigger jackpots more often and we could well see brand new records being established.
Like most lottery players, we are naturally excited about the new format of the EuroMillions game, but as we said at the outset of this news piece, we still have two regular EuroMillions draws to enjoy first. The jackpot in the EuroMillions game this Friday 29 April will be worth around £13 million, so if you are lucky enough to scoop that sum you won’t need to bother with future draws if you don’t want to.
Our EuroMillions Statistics page identifies the main numbers 30, 31, 05, 16 and 40, and the Lucky Star numbers 09 and 05 as being most overdue to make an appearance. Will any of those numbers help you to win the EuroMillions jackpot this Friday or will your own selection of numbers fare better? Click here to buy your lottery tickets and you’ll soon find out!Thursday 28th April 2011
