Triple Thrills for Lotto Players
A triple rollover jackpot with an estimated value of £11.8 million will be up for grabs in the Lotto game this Saturday after no player matched all six main numbers in the midweek draw. This news comes on the back of yesterday’s announcement that the EuroMillions game will be giving players the chance to win a quadruple rollover jackpot worth around £43 million this Friday. It isn’t often that two events of this magnitude converge like this, so our advice is to make the most of them!
The Lotto results on Wednesday 7 August were 03, 16, 20, 26, 28 and 43, and the Bonus Ball was 15. With no player landing the jackpot, the biggest winners in last night’s game were the owners of four tickets that matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to land a prize of £198,444 each. Another 280 tickets won a prize of £1,771 each by matching five main numbers only, and more than 338,000 tickets won smaller prizes of £63 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers.
After the news broke that the Lotto jackpot had rolled for the third time in a row, players were especially keen to see if they could win big in the Health Lottery game. The numbers drawn last night were certainly encouraging to those who wanted to see the top prize won – the main numbers were 02, 04, 05, 06 and 13, and the Bonus Ball was 27 – but incredibly, it didn’t happen. Despite the main numbers falling into a very narrow range at the low end of the scale, no player matched all five of them. The good news is that there were more than 14,000 consolation prizes won at the lower levels.
Whilst the midweek Lotto and Health Lottery games proved disappointing for jackpot hunters last night, players can now look forward to the possibility of winning even more cash in the days ahead. The most overdue Lotto numbers right now are 48, 46, 23, 21, 14 and 02, so it will be very interesting to see if any of those help someone to land the £11.8 million that is up for grabs. Head this way to buy your Lotto tickets online and you just might emerge from the weekend as a multi-millionaire!
