Triple Rollover Jackpot for UK Lotto
Updated: Monday 20th July 2015
It seems that rollovers are the flavour of the month because the UK Lotto jackpot rolled over for the third draw running on Wednesday 23 May, giving players a triple-rollover jackpot of around £14.9 million to shoot for this Saturday. That’s just one day after the EuroMillions game gives players the chance of winning a multi-rollover jackpot of around £70 million, and when we tell you that the midweek Irish Lotto jackpot also rolled over to the next game this Saturday, it becomes very clear that lottery rollovers are coming thick and fast!
The UK Lotto results on Wednesday 23 May were 03, 04, 18, 24, 44 and 49, and the Bonus Ball was 17. There were 401 tickets that came one main number short of winning the £9.98 million jackpot. 12 of those tickets matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to win £67,862 each and the other 389 tickets matched the five main numbers only to win £1,308 each. 21,846 tickets won £51 each by matching four main numbers only, and 390,660 tickets matched three main numbers only to win £10 each.
Add up all of those prizes and you’ll see that 412,907 tickets won a prize of some sort in the midweek Lotto game. We predict that there will be even more winners this Saturday, and maybe someone will land the £14.9 million triple-rollover jackpot itself.
As far as the Irish Lotto game is concerned, the main numbers drawn on Wednesday were 11, 28, 29, 32, 34 and 41, and the Bonus Ball was 27. The jackpot that rolled over was worth €3.57 million, giving the jackpot this Saturday an estimated value of €4 million. A single ticket matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to win a second-tier prize of €25,000 and 30 tickets matched five main numbers only to win €1,836 each. The total number of winning tickets in the Irish Lotto game was 27,766.
