Three Tickets Share Lotto Jackpot

Three Tickets Share Lotto Jackpot

The Lotto jackpot of £4,081,101 for Saturday 30 April was won by three tickets, giving each winning ticket a value of £1,339,367. The Lotto results, which were generated by the Guinevere lottery machine this time around, were 01, 06, 12, 29, 36 and 44, and the Bonus Ball was 21. It is a little too early to know if the winning tickets were all owned by individual players or whether one or more of them was purchased on behalf of a syndicate, but if any of the winners choose to go public then we will obviously bring you further details as soon as we can.

Whilst the jackpot winners clearly fared best in the Lotto game last Saturday, 23 players matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to pick up £53,753 each and 744 players won £1,038 each by matching five main numbers without the Bonus Ball. 636,655 prizes of £48 or £10 were paid to players matching four or three main numbers, respectively.

In the EuroMillions game on Friday 29 April, the jackpot wasn’t won by any player. That means there will be a double rollover jackpot of around £26 million to play for this Friday 6 May, which just happens to be the last EuroMillions game to be played under the current rules. After Friday, EuroMillions players will need to pick two Lucky Star numbers from the range 1 to 11 instead of 1 to 9 as they do now. As we have said before, this will make it a little more difficult to win the jackpot, but there will be an additional consolation prize paid to those who match just two main numbers, so the odds of winning any prize will actually improve.

Getting back to last Friday’s game, the EuroMillions results were 15, 25, 38, 40 and 41, and the Lucky Stars were 01 and 02. Three players matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number to win €999,138 each and another three players matched the five main numbers only to win €283,539 each, but none of these winners purchased their tickets in the UK. Fortunately, there were plenty of players in the UK who won EuroMillions prizes at the fourth tier level and below, and one player won £1,000,000 in the Millionaire Raffle game with the number ZRM068085.

The Lotto jackpot this Wednesday 4 May will be worth around £2.4 million, whilst the EuroMillions double rollover jackpot this Friday 6 May will - as we said earlier - be worth around £26 million. Buy your lottery tickets online here for both of those games and good luck!
