Three More Lotto Jackpot Winners!
Updated: Tuesday 8th April 2014
The number of Lotto jackpot winners increased by three last night after that many tickets matched all six main numbers to share the top prize of £1,982,520. That makes each of the winners £660,840 richer than they were before the game, and whilst that probably isn’t as much as the lucky players might have expected for jackpot success, it is still a life-changing win. Of course, if they want to try and win even more they can always buy another ticket for this Saturday’s Lotto game, which will offer a jackpot of around £3.6 million.
The Lotto numbers drawn on Wednesday 21 August were 03, 04, 27, 29, 47 and 49, and the Bonus Ball was 23. The three jackpot winners had the biggest reason to celebrate, but a total of 274,629 prizes were landed, so they weren’t the only winners by any means. Five tickets matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win a prize of £122,001 each, 262 tickets won £1,455 each by matching five main numbers only, and everyone else won £62 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers.
Irish Lotto players who were hoping to win the jackpot last night were disappointed because no ticket was able to match the six main numbers, which were 14, 21, 24, 26, 31 and 38. One ticket matched five of those numbers as well as the Bonus Ball (which was 10) to win a second tier prize of €25,000, and another €18 tickets won 2,647 each by matching five main numbers only. More than 25,000 smaller prizes were landed at the lower levels, and the next Irish Lotto jackpot will be worth around €2.5 million.
There were fewer winners in the Health Lottery game last night than there were in the preceding couple of draws, and nobody managed to match all five main numbers to win the top prize of £100,000. Those numbers were 01, 22, 23, 29 and 38, and the Bonus Ball number was 32. The good news is that more than 1,900 consolation prizes were won in total, so the night wasn’t a complete washout by any means.
Well done to everyone who succeeded in winning with their numbers last night, and for those of you who fancy having a go at winning even more, remember that there will be around £79 million up for grabs in the Friday EuroMillions game. Click here to buy your tickets and good luck!
