Three Get Lucky in Midweek Lotto
Updated: Tuesday 22nd April 2014
Three lottery players got particularly lucky in the midweek Lotto game when they each matched the six main numbers necessary to win the jackpot. The Lotto results for Wednesday 2 May were 18, 22, 25, 35, 39 and 41, and the Bonus Ball was 31. The jackpot had a final value of £2,569,920, so each of the three jackpot-winning tickets is now worth £856,640. That is probably less than most aspiring Lotto jackpot winners would expect, but it is not far off a million and it should certainly be enough to change the lives of those concerned.
Only one ticket matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to win a second-tier prize, so the value of that prize – a hefty £790,744 – wasn’t far off the cash won by each jackpot winner. Another 224 tickets matched five main numbers without the Bonus Ball to win £2,206 each. 11,660 tickets won £93 each at the fourth-tier prize level by matching four main numbers only and 224,750 tickets won £10 each by matching three main numbers only.
The Irish Lotto results for Wednesday 2 May were 08, 09, 13, 14, 20 and 36, and the Bonus Ball was 06. There were no jackpot winners in this game, but three tickets won a second-tier prize of €25,000 each after matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball. 43 tickets matched five main numbers only to win €1,482 each, and 38,597 tickets won smaller prizes with three main numbers or better.
All of this means that lottery players have some very nice jackpots to play for this Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the EuroMillions jackpot will be worth around £21 million, and then on Saturday the UK Lotto will have a jackpot worth around £4.1 million whilst the Irish Lotto jackpot should be worth around €5 million. Buy your lottery tickets online today, good luck and have a great weekend!
