Ten Brand New Lottery Millionaires!
The Mega Friday Millionaire Maker draw at the end of last week lived up to its name in no uncertain terms by creating ten brand new lottery millionaires. Not only will each player who matched one of the ten winning codes receive the cash sum of £1 million, they will also enjoy a trip of a lifetime to South Africa and come home with £25,000 worth of diamond jewellery. Well done to all of the winning players concerned, and for those of you who haven't yet checked your tickets, you may want to do so now! The ten Millionaire Maker code numbers that were drawn last Friday 27 February were as follows:
In the EuroMillions game itself, the main numbers drawn were 05, 14, 17, 25 and 47, and the Lucky Star numbers were 09 and 10. The jackpot was worth a shade over £52 million, but none of the tickets entered for the draw proved able to match all seven of the numbers required to win it, and so the top prize rolled over to the next game on Tuesday.
Four tickets matched five main numbers plus one of the Lucky Star numbers to win a second tier prize worth €485,210 each, and we quote that figure in euros because none of the tickets concerned had been purchased by players in the UK. Another 13 tickets won their owners £38,331 each by matching five main numbers only, and four of those had been entered by UK players.
There were 60 tickets that matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars to win £4,152 each at the fourth tier, and more than 3.25 million tickets won smaller prizes across the lower levels. The total amount of cash won by players in the UK – including the £10 million paid out by the Millionaire Maker game – was £15,233,972.
The jackpot in the next EuroMillions game with be worth an estimated £57 million, which would be more than enough to help any winner get the month of March off to an incredible start. Don't forget that we also have the EuroMillions Superdraw coming up, so if you don't win £57 million on Tuesday you just might land yourself an estimated £74 million on Friday!
