Spanish Ticket Wins EuroMillions

Spanish Ticket Wins EuroMillions

One lottery ticket that had been purchased in Spain won the EuroMillions jackpot last night, creating the first Spanish jackpot winner of 2013. The EuroMillions results for Tuesday 16 April were 01, 11, 22, 33 and 50, along with the Lucky Star numbers 04 and 06, and the jackpot was worth €15 million, which would have been £12,879,000 had a Brit managed to land the spoils. Over 1.78 million prizes were won in total, and players in the UK won over £1.67 million, so although Spain got to celebrate the biggest win of the night, we didn’t fare badly at all at the lower levels.

This was the first Tuesday jackpot win that the EuroMillions game has given us since 12 March, and it means that there will now be a brand new jackpot of around £12 million to play for this Friday 19 April. In the meantime, players who landed a consolation prize of any kind are advised to make any claim necessary as soon as possible to avoid the risk of forgetting and missing out.

One UK ticket was among eight that matched all five of the main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars to land a second-tier prize worth £80,929 each. There were 50 tickets that matched five main numbers only to win £4,316 each at the third-tier, and another 91 tickets won £1,185 each by matching four main numbers and both of the Lucky Stars. All other winning entries won smaller prizes of up to £66.90 each, and one ticket bearing the Millionaire Raffle number SMJ873006 gave its owner a separate prize of £1 million. For ideas on how to try and win your own Millionaire Raffle prize, take a look at our recent Lottery Raffle Strategies article.

There have now been three EuroMillions jackpots landed in the month so far, which averages out at one per week, and we look forward to seeing if that healthy trend can continue to hold steady. The UK Lotto game has also delivered three jackpots in April, but two of those have been shared by four winners each to create nine individual jackpot winners in total. The next Lotto game takes place this evening (Wednesday 17 April) and will offer a top prize worth around £2 million, so visit this page if you fancy your chances of winning that sum and the tenth jackpot winner of the month could be you!
