Spain and Portugal Share EuroMillions!

Spain and Portugal Share EuroMillions!

It has been over two months since the EuroMillions jackpot was won by more than one ticket (it last happened on Friday 7 November), but that dry spell ended in the first game of this week, with two entries matching all seven of the numbers drawn. The two winning tickets had been purchased in Spain and Portugal, and each one is now worth exactly half of the final jackpot figure, which was £24,827,488 (€32,539,304). The EuroMillions results which led to all of this on Tuesday 20 January were 15, 33, 41, 44 and 47, along with the Lucky Star numbers 08 and 10.

Our congratulations obviously go to the jackpot winners in Spain and Portugal, but there were plenty of consolation prize winners who also had something to celebrate after last night's game. Three tickets – all of which were purchased overseas – matched the five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars to win a second tier prize of €352,332 each. At the third tier, four tickets, one of which had been purchased here in the UK, won £65,134 each by matching the five main numbers only.

Another 42 tickets matched four of the five main numbers as well as both of the Lucky Star numbers to win £3,101 each, and there were more than 1.52 million smaller prizes that were won at the lower levels. The total amount of cash won by EuroMillions players in the UK was £2,066,625, and another £1,000,000 was won by the UK player who matched the Millionaire Maker code, which was MKF065228.

The next EuroMillions game this Friday 23 January will offer a brand new jackpot of around £11 million, but lottery players still have plenty to try and win before then. The midweek Lotto game this evening will boast a double rollover jackpot worth around £8.7 million, and those of you who like to play or keep an eye on the most overdue Lotto numbers should watch out for the numbers 08, 01, 21, 27, 39 and 03. Also remember that the Lotto Raffle game this evening will award 50 prizes of £20,000 each, so even if you don't get lucky in the main Lotto draw you could still be five-figures richer by the end of the evening.

As always, you can participate in the Lotto and EuroMillions game from the comfort of your own home. Simply visit this page to buy your tickets online and you'll have your entries secured in minutes. Enjoy the midweek lottery action tonight and good luck!
